New portrait: David Bagué / by Toni Ricart

I’m starting a new project about portraits of people involved with culture in Barcelona.
As a first work,I portrayed well-known luthier David Bagué at his atelier in the neighborhood of Gràcia, in Barcelona.

Bagué started making auto didactic string instruments at the age of twelve and later completed the training in Cremona (Italy). In 2003, the Creu de Sant Jordi was granted to him in recognition of the international prestige reached in his field and to the pioneering work developed in this field in Catalonia. Among the musicians possessing a Bagué are the Italian violinist Ruggero Ricci, the Greek Leonidas Kavakos and the member of the Casals Quartet, Abel Tomàs.
